Our Story

Szechuan Opera, founded in 2019 by Chinese-American brothers Mingge and Zimo, is a US dining brand that offers the face of Chinese Szechuan Cuisine. The brand merges traditional Chinese culinary experiences with top-notch dining service.

The name and logo are inspired by the famous Chinese Szechuan Opera's Face-Changing technique and Face Masks, an art that represents both tradition and innovation. This choice of name reflects the founders' commitment to blending tradition with modernity, echoing the idea of facing challenges head-on.

The Szechuan Opera team also includes sister brands: Red Chili and Hot Pot Lulu. Their goal is to provide appetizing, mouth-watering, and healthy dishes. Szechuan Opera started in Rochester, New York, in 2019 and opened two more locations in New Jersey and New York City in 2023.

川谱取义于世界闻名的中国戏剧艺术川剧——中国四川的川剧变脸，以及其道具脸谱。它已经表演了几个世纪，观众从中国的普通百姓到皇家。川剧变脸是川剧表演的特技之一，用于揭示剧中人物的内心及思想感情的变化，即把不可见、不可感的抽象的情绪和心理状态变成可见、可感的具体形象——脸谱。相传变脸（脸谱）是古代人类面对凶猛的野兽，为了生存把自己脸部用不同的方式勾画出不同形态，以吓唬入侵的野兽。川剧把变脸搬上舞台，用绝妙的技巧使它成为一门独特的艺术，风靡全球。由此可见，川谱餐馆品牌的创立者对待美食文化守正创新的敬业态度，以及深根于内心的“长风破浪会有时、直挂云帆济沧海”的创业精神。川谱（Szechuan Opera）的关联品牌包括：红顶山庄（Red Chili）和火锅面Lulu（Hot Pot Lulu）。他们将秉承“志存高远、勤勉笃行”的理念，立志把“好看、好吃、健康”的美食理念呈现给每一位顾客。

川谱第一家店在纽约州的罗切斯特于2019年4月开业。
川谱第二家店在新泽西州的美国梦于2023年7月20日开业。
